Sensyrtech is a company based in Houston, TX that specializes in providing end-to-end IoT solutions, asset tracking, and predictive analysis for industrial clients. Our goal is to help clients prevent unplanned downtime and enable operational visibility through innovative technologies. We are experts in IIoT, Industry 4.0, and smart maintenance, and we work in a variety of industries from manufacturing to healthcare. We have all the technology needs put together: a full software suite, relationships will all major hardware providers in the IoT space, and a deep technical understanding of how to build solutions. We've built and deployed solution from multinational, F500 companies - and are now looking to find someone to take us to the next level.

Role Description:

This is a part-time hybrid role as a Director of Business Development at Sensyrtech. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for launching our business development to new heights. We're looking for someone with a deep rolodex whose passionate about building and creating value. Daily tasks include strategic planning, lead generation, contract negotiation, closing new deals and account management. Our company is based out of Houston, TX - but candidates are welcome to work remotely fly-in as needed.

Our ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, industry expert with a deep understanding of the manufacturing and IIoT space. You possess a strong network of industry contacts and a proven track record of selling complex solutions. Driven and resilient, you thrive in high-growth environments and are willing to get into the weeds to close deals. You have strong leadership skills, enjoy mentoring teams, and can align sales strategies with company goals. Adaptable and comfortable with remote work, you are willing to travel as needed. Most importantly, you are equity-focused, seeking to build substantial value for yourself and the company in a high-growth startup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the manufacturing and IIoT sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain a deep network of industry contacts to generate leads and close deals.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the executive team and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with significant experience in the manufacturing and IIoT industries.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and scaling a company.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote work environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation:

We're looking to bring in someone at a co-founder level with:

  • Limited base compensation but a focus on vested, high equity incentives.
  • Equity offering up to 25-33% of the company for the right candidate.
