Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac IMCU!This position is Part Time Day Shift working two - 12/hr shifts per week.Up to $7,500 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates! Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is one of just five Level 1 trauma centers in Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance and the region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at the Sentara Heart Hospital. The hospital sits on the Eastern Virginia Medical Campus which serves as the primary teaching institution. Sentara Norfolk General and the Heart Hospital offers Transplant Services: Heart, Kidney, and Pancreas. We are a Certified Stroke Center and the only Level 3 Epilepsy Center in the area.

Cardiac IMCU:This 24-bed unit provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, STEMI's, heart failure, chest pain, ICD's, and permanent pacemakers. Gain experience in atrial fibrillation medication management. Work with state-of-the-art technology. Our entire unit is telemetry wired.Cardiac Intermediate Care is an ACCN Silver Beacon Award Unit that is recognized for excellence in providing high-quality patient care, and a work environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and positivity.As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities in leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Education:Diploma RN, associate degree RN, bachelor’s degree RN, or master’s degree RN.
All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
