Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is hiring an Enviornmental Services Tech III to handle Floor Care. This is a full time, evening (2nd) shift position with rotating weekends. The Enviornmental Services Tech III is responsible for maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to EST I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary.
Requirements: - 1 year of related experience as an Environmental Associate.
- 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education otherwise, High School or equivalent is required.
- Must have previous experience with floor care to include: stripping and recoating floors using the proper equipment; basic knowledge of how to use a floor scrubber machine and how to use a side by side machine to scrub a floor or strip a floor and then use the necessary equipment to lay down wax to refinish the floor.
As anEnvironmental Services Technician withSentara, you will be working around patients in housekeeping. This position's primary duties include cleaning the patients' rooms, hallways, and any spills.
