The Medical Physics/Radiation Safety Team at Sentara Independence is hiring an Administrative Coordinator in Virginia Beach, VA! This is a full time, day shift role 100% on site. The hours are from 8AM to 430PM Monday to Friday.

About the position:

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing, and maintaining records and files, and helping customers through phone and email. Maintaining multiple databases and organizing and maintaining files is a large component of this role. This position supports our Medical Physics team specifically. 

Under the direction of the Regional Manager for Medical Physics and Radiation Safety, your areas of responsibility will include and are not limited to coordinating all Medical Physics/Radiation Safety services for all twelve (12) Sentara Healthcare hospitals and their Advanced Imaging Service centers. This includes scheduling all medical physics surveys, tracking reports distribution, maintaining inventory tracking for multiple sites, schedule and attending meetings, preparing, and distributing meetings minutes and documents, expense reports, and CE completion reports for current Medical Physics employees.

Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of time sensitive deadlines, organization, and ability to multitask with an eye for detail.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred.
  • 3 years of Administrative Experience required.
  • Hospital and multi-site administration experience is preferred.
