Sentara CarePlex Hospital located in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse, for the Endoscopy.

Shift: Days

Department Hours: 0600 - 1730

Call Requirement: Evening and Weekend

The Endoscopy RN will be responsible for learning several different roles to include, circulating in the GI lab, assisting the proceduralist, scope reprocessing, and management of the patient pre-procedurally and post procedurally.

Requirements - one of the following is required:

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• Registered Nurse License
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License

BSN or MSN preferred. New Hire Education Requirement: Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
