The Free-Standing Emergency Room is a 13-bed facility seeing about 60 patients a day with a physician and PA on staff as well as additional support including ED Techs. This well supported department is centered around teamwork and patient- first mindset. In an emergency, quick access to skilled care makes all the difference. That's why Sentara offers access to emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our management team has been long standing and diligent about building a cohesive and dedicated care team to serve the Charlottesville, VA area.

Required Call: Full Time nurses have 16 hours of required call per 6 weeks. Part Time/PRN Nurses have 12 hours of required call per 6 weeks.

Experienced Nurse Orientation: Experienced ED nurses can expect an orientation period of 6 weeks on the unit.

Requirements:

• RN License- Required
• 2 years of experience- Preferred
• Critical Care experience- Preferred
• Degree or Diploma from an accredited registered nursing program- required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• ACLS & PALS required prior to completion of orientation- within 10 weeks of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire
