Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a Patient Care Supervisor.

WE HAVE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE ON CAMPUS! Growing Up at Obici is our licensed and accredited child day care center with a maximum capacity of 120 children age range 1 month - 12 years. We are open from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

POSITION OVERVIEW

House-wide coverage at Sentara Obici Hospital
Part Time: 24 hours per week
Hours will change depending on the assignment. This position alternates as a dual role: Patient Care Supervisor and Bed Flow Coordinator.
Patient Care Supervisor Hours: 7:30am - 7:30pm. There may be times when night shift coverage is needed.
Bed Planner Hours: 11:00am - 7:30pm

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

BSN
Previous acute care experience in nursing: 2 years
Nursing Leadership: One (1) year
Registered Nurse License (Virginia or multistate compact license)
BLS

Talroo-Leadership, Monster, Registered Nurse, RN, Nursing Supervisor, Patient Care Supervisor, Leader, Leadership, House Supervisor, Bed Control, Bed Planner, Bed Assignments

Responsible and accountable for administratively managing the hospital as the representative for the administrator on call. Possesses proficient clinical skills and serves as a resource to nursing staff, physicians, and the public. Coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and efficient patient placement. Makes administrative decisions (in consultation with administrator on call, as needed) in regards to potential or actual problematic situations involving the hospital. May be responsible to coordinate patient care resources.
