Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Waste Treatment Facility Operator to join our team. The primary responsibilities include operating the waste treatment facility, treating and disposing of accumulated waste, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with hazardous waste regulations. This role involves recording data, managing chemical solutions, and maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treat and dispose of waste daily.
- Maintain equipment, including lubrication, press cleaning, and stagnant rinse changes.
- Record disposal schedules and track manifests.
- Treat waste solutions and dispose of them per Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Perform chemical additions to tanks as directed by lab personnel.
- Oversee hazardous waste management.
- Record and test data from the Ion Exchange and RO units daily.
- Operate hi-lo equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean workstation and other shop areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a lab or water treatment setting preferred.
- Familiarity with hazardous waste management is a plus.
- Ability to operate machinery, including hi-lo, preferred.
