Sentinel Offender Services, LLC is Hiring an Equipment Technician (Criminal Justice) - WA Near Washington, DC

For almost 30 years, Sentinel Offender Services has provided community based, offender-funded monitoring services across North America. Working with law enforcement, community corrections agencies and the court system, we provide customized offender management solutions that help to reduce recidivism and improve reentry success. These solutions combine electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing and community-based offender management programs.

Pay: $25.00/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday / 12:00pm - 4:00pm

The equipment installer/ technician is an entry level position for an Electronic Monitoring, GPS, and Breath Alcohol Testing equipment installer. The installer is primarily responsible for performing equipment installations, removal and troubleshooting of all equipment, along with daily client scheduling and inventory control.

Job Expectations Essential Functions

· Install and remove various electronic monitoring equipment as requested using directed safety precautions.

· Provide support for service and maintenance of equipment.

· Keep accurate records of service calls

· Inspect and maintain all monitoring and testing equipment, this includes cleaning equipment.

· Process alarms as required during shifts if applicable to program requirements.

· Assist with data entry of activity schedules as required.

· Telephone calls to participants when needed for equipment or collection purposes.

· Maintains calibration and repair records for all equipment serviced.

· Shipping and receiving functions for equipment and supplies per established procedures.

· Diagnosis and repair of EM equipment as outlined in company procedures.

· Serve as a liaison between Sentinel and/or other contracted agencies, as needed based on duty shifts

Education

HS diploma or equivalent; experience

Knowledge Skills Abilities

· Basic computer skills

· A reliable form of transportation to ensure job attendance

· Practice time management to meet tight deadlines due to program equipment installation requirements

· Must be able to work flexible work schedules if needed

· Must be able to communicate effectively with Department Personnel, Judges and Program Participants as well as Sentinel personnel

· Effective customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and maintain an effective and efficient level of service

· Ability to prepare written reports and maintain accurate records
