Serco North America is Hiring a Diesel Technician II Near Scranton, PA

Position Description

Join Serco as a Diesel Technician II in Scranton, PA! Serco Fleet Maintenance Services is the nationwide leader in our industry and works exclusively for large, utility fleet customers throughout the U.S. Serco supports a large utility fleet operation diagnosing and repairing light, medium and heavy duty diesel trucks and various other construction, GSE and utility specific equipment. 

Schedule will be 2nd Shift Monday through Friday.

As a Diesel Technician, you will:

  • Operate automotive & diesel vehicles and construction and material handling equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair bucket truck and digger derrick hydraulic systems.
  • Perform engine, electrical and drivability diagnostics/repair.
  • Perform PA state inspections and manufacturer recommended services.
  • Diagnose and repair aftertreatment systems.
  • Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
  • Be responsible for scheduling and prioritizing work derived from driver reports and planned maintenance.

This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Customer focused, strong work ethic and positive.
  • Be a safety oriented individual.
  • Drive/take home a service truck.
  • CDL B license is required but can be obtained after employment begins and training and reimbursement for it will be provided.
  • Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Diesel vocational/technical school certifications
