We have an opportunity for a Mid Level Java Developer to join our talented Professional Services team. The successful candidate will plan, develop, and maintain web applications for a complex healthcare organization.
Typical responsibilities include:
· Maintain a custom Business Analytics Platform
· Designs, develops, and implements Java applications to support business requirements.
· Follows approved life cycle methodologies
· Creates design documents, performs coding, and testing
· Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
· Reviews existing code and fix defects and assist with further refinement and refactoring of the application and architecture
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research/System Analysis, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or Business/Decision Sciences or formal technical training
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an application developer
· Required skills include:
o Java
o Oracle
o SQL
· Designs, codes, tests, debug and documents software and enhance existing components to ensure that software meets business needs.
· Experience gathering requirements from business/non-technical customers
· Experience working in both an Agile and Waterfall development environment
· Experience developing design documents
· Experience developing and reviewing code
· Experience debugging, fixing defects, and assisting with further refinements
· Experience refactoring of applications and architecture
· Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities
· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Excellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written form
· Genuine desire to learn is essential
