Serv-U-success is Hiring a Regional Director - Retail Store Operations Near Cleveland, OH

The Regional Director is a multi-unit manager who builds and develops regional service teams in superior execution of in-store services for Customers and Manufacturers. They lead & manage 30 store locations, mostly 24/7 operations. The top deliverables for this position are to hire/develop highly capable Flagship Store Managers, Store Managers, and Reset Coordinators, and provide them the guidance and leadership to achieve aggressive operational goals and objectives. The Regional Director is responsible for creating the culture and environment in which store teams and team members can thrive and grow, personally and professionally.
Areas of Responsibility: DSD (Direct Store Distribution) Services, Continuity Services, General Project & HomeStore Reset/Remodel Services, "Wall-to-Wall" in a region with up to 200 employees, contingent workers, and on-demand labor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Develop a roadmap that communicates clear and achievable goals/outcomes aligned with corporate objectives.
    • Develop and implement a staffing/support plan, aligned with company goals and growth, adjusting frequently as conditions change.
    • Maintain a cross-trained and flexible Serv-U workforce that excels with complex services/tasks/training, filling in as required to precisely match resources with requirements.
    • Utilize contract and temporary labor strategically, matching labor resources to business requirements. Plan weekly, re-plan daily and monitor effectiveness.
    • Build and utilize Flagship Stores to introduce and immerse store teams in a culture driven by mastering best practices, tools, and teamwork.
    • Work with People Operations as a strategic partner to create development plans, employee engagement and retention, resolve issues, coach, provideexpertise on payroll administration, benefits administration, workforce planning, leave management, employee policies and procedures, performance management, performance improvement plans including and up to ending employment if unable to resolve.
    • Utilize the Serv-U University in support of new processes and tools, enabling teams to grow and develop. Leverage resources and targeted education to focus on specific areas of improvement.
    • Work to ensure a positive and rewarding employee experience, with a focus on retaining and growth of competent and motivated employees.
    • Ensure concise and constant communication with Flagship Store Managers, Store Managers, and Reset Coordinators including a frequent review of successes in areas requiring additional focus. Equip Flagship Store Managers, Store Managers and Reset Coordinators to do the same at store level.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with Meijer management, particularly at Market & Store Director level, with the goal of effective communication and a better alignment of Capabilities with customer expectations. Involve Flagship Store Managers, Store Managers, Reset Coordinators as a critical part of the Serv-U Service Delivery System.
Desired Education, Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
    • At least 7-10 years of management experience in the service industry, with a demonstrated track record of success building high-performance teams and providing consistent results in the areas quality, efficiency, within budget.
    • Multi-Unit management experience, preferably 10 Locations.
    • Experience in retail or grocery is a plus.
    • Strong desire to lead and work with people to help them achieve their potential.
    • Results oriented. Organized & methodical. Embrace learning and change.
    • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment, with respect for all team members.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, write legibly and follow directions.
    • Utilize technology -devices (smartphones, tablets, PC's), MS Office, Teams, MV, PowerBI, SubITUp, ADP.
    • Position will require irregular hours, daily travel including overnight stays on weekends and holidays.
    • Strong analytically.
    • Able to analyze data and activities and quickly determine opportunities for improvement and develop a game plan for implementation.
    • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of car insurance, preferably primary coverage, and no major violations or DUIs.
$83,200 - $105,000 a year
