As a Human Resources Manager, you will, strategize and implement HR initiatives aligned with the overall business objective, enhance company culture, drive employee engagement, manage talent acquisition, oversee performance management, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. In addition to handling the day-to-day HR matters, you will

collaborate closely with management to develop and implement HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals and promote employee engagement and development.

Job Description

  • Lead the talent acquisition efforts including developing job descriptions, sourcing/hiring, recruiting fairs, orientation, development, and retention procedures to support the company’s growth.
  • Ensure proper onboarding and exit processes including COBRA and related administration. 
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and termination.
  • Oversee the open enrollment process.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain good rapport and working relationships with employees and supervisors in an effort to prevent, resolve, and/or cope with personnel issues affecting the workplace. Serve as a resource to leaders in handling and resolution of personnel and/or performance issues and advise on best practices.
  • Develop, drive, and improve HR processes.
  • Support training and development efforts across the company. Administer training, work with leaders to identify training needs, and recommend training solutions.
  • Work closely with the Safety department to support behavior-based safety processes, employee training, and physical/mental requirements of all positions.
  • Administer company policies and ensure compliance. Maintain knowledge of up-to-date employment and labor law and make recommendations for best practices. Assure plant compliance and advise managers on organizational policy matters such as legal compliance, employee relations, EEO, harassment/discrimination issues, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and FLSA.
  • Coordinate special events such as employee recognition programs, employee activities, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, Human Resources or similar discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of HR experience

Preferred

  • SPHR/SHRM-SCP Certification or other HR Certification(s)
  • 3 years administering employee benefits and open enrollment
