Position: HR Manager
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: President/CEO
Position Summary:
The HR Manager will handle employee recruitment and hiring, ensure compliance and best practices, and identify training needs and development opportunities. This position works closely with the Director of Operations daily to ensure staffing needs are covered and service to all clients is provided.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, field/social media recruiting, including job postings, job candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
Upon approval to hire, initiating the onboarding process for a seamless transition.
Collaborate with the training and safety manager to ensure effective onboarding, leaving new service partners prepared for their new career. Conduct new hire follow-ups.
Perform a monthly review of the new hire sheet to ensure accurate information regarding full-time or part-time status.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
Communicate information on employee leave management processes, including FMLA, disability, and other applicable leave programs.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, providing guidance and resolution.
Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, payroll data, and attendance records for salary employees.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and initiatives. (Shared - Payroll Manager)
Conduct investigations and address employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and employee development.
Training and Development:
Coordinate with the Director of Ops to identify employee training needs and source appropriate resources.
Supervise appropriate clearance processes for buildings (FedEx, Riddle, Terumo, Schools etc.) with knowledge of buildings for recruiting purposes.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience
Talent Identification and Development:
Identify high-potential individuals within the organization and create tailored development plans. (Shared with S/T Manager)
Work closely with Area Managers to implement programs that nurture talent and drive career progression.
Performance improvement management and recognition
Staff Utilization and Scheduling:
Monitor and review building schedules(open buildings) with the leadership team to optimize staff utilization and operational efficiency.
Provide guidance to Area Managers on best practices for staff deployment and scheduling improvements.
Coverage Management:
Collaborate with Area Managers to ensure effective callout coverage, maintaining adequate staffing levels.
Develop and implement strategies to address unexpected staffing gaps promptly and efficiently.
Manage open building coverage, addressing staffing shortages and implementing solutions. Foster a proactive approach to ensure continuous and effective staffing in all areas.
Communication and Collaboration:
Facilitate open communication between different departments and teams to address staffing challenges and promote a positive work environment.
Act as a liaison between management and employees to resolve issues and enhance collaboration.
