Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Juniper networking technologies, including EX and QFX switching, and SRX firewalls, as well as Palo Alto firewalls. The role involves configuring and troubleshooting these technologies, migrating switching fabrics, and tracing network connections. Additional experience with Cisco switching, Cisco ASA firewalls, and configuring network connectivity for VMWare ESXi hosts is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Juniper EX and QFX switches, and SRX firewalls.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls.
• Provide strong Layer 2 network support, including VLANs, STP, and MAC address tables.
• Conduct migrations from one switching fabric to another, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
• Trace host devices through the network to connected switchports by checking ARP and MAC address tables.
• Collaborate with network architects and other engineers to design and implement network solutions.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Cisco Catalyst switching.
• Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Experience configuring network connectivity for VMWare ESXi hosts.

Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, PCNSE, CCNA, or CCNP are preferred.
• Proven experience with Juniper EX and QFX switches, and SRX firewalls.
• Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with network migrations and fabric changes.
• Familiarity with tracing network paths and device connectivity using ARP and MAC address tables.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and VMWare ESXi is a plus.
