Summary of Functions:

Maintain the buildings, HVAC systems, and other duties as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs to the structure of all buildings including doors, windows and roofs.
• Repair restroom and break room facilities as required.
• Perform all asphalt and concrete repairs and modifications to all surfaces within the facility.
• Repair and perform all maintenance on all non production facilities, such as offices and restrooms.
• Able to communicate with other departments efficiently.
• Clean shop, storage area and storage room.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Preferred to have the ability to work with large equipment.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Compliance with all shop GMP, Food Safety, and General Safety rules and regulations.
• Compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate food safety regulatory standards as well as company quality standards provided by facility, regional, and corporate quality authorities.
• Knowledge of Setton Pistachio’s Food Safety Management System and its application in a processing environment.

Organization Relationships:

• Will work with Maintenance Manager to ensure food safety and maintenance of Setton Pistachio’s Food Safety Management System.
• Will report directly to Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of standard materials, tools and equipment and skill in the use and care of tools.
• Demonstrate effective verbal, written and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, handbook, etc.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to read and write English.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75 lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

Work Environment:

• The employee will be exposed to loud noise, salt, red dyes, and ingredient odors while performing his/her work duties.
• The employee must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices while performing his/her duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
