Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the accuracy of cash and card payments. As the first point of contact, the Cashier plays a critical role in creating a positive shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance when necessary to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., bags, receipt paper).
- Handle Returns and Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Assist with Bagging: Assist customers in bagging items, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.
