POSITION TITLE: Graduate Assistant - Pastoral Accelerator Program
DEPARTMENT: Barnett College of Ministry & Theology - Pastoral Accelerator Program
REPORTS TO: Director of the Pastoral Accelerator Program
POSITION SUMMARY
Graduate Assistants are student workers who work in a part-time capacity while pursuing a graduate degree at Southeastern. In this position you will assist the Director for Pastoral Accelerator Program with the acceptance process, advising, planning, and executing. With that, provide opportunities for the Pastoral Accelerator Program to be involved in the community through service opportunities and other events.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education - An earned bachelor's degree, and acceptance into a Southeastern University Graduate Program. Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
Collaboration - Ability to work with faculty and staff with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Communication - Strong Communication skills, written and verbal.
Additional Skills - Initiative, problem solving, leadership, organization, good, pleasant attitude.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide ongoing support and guidance to students throughout their academic journey, including addressing questions, concerns, and challenges they may encounter.
Assist in the planning and execution of events related to the Pastoral Accelerator Program, such as orientations, workshops, and guest speaker sessions.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, including grades, attendance, and program milestones, using appropriate databases or software systems.
Gather feedback from students regarding their experiences in the program, and collaborate with the program coordinator to implement improvements based on this feedback.
Research and compile relevant resources, materials, and tools to support student learning and success in the Pastoral Accelerator Program.
Foster a sense of community among program participants by facilitating networking opportunities, study groups, and other collaborative initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing the operation of the Pastoral Accelerator Program.
Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Dean of Barnett College or Director for Pastoral Accelerator Program.
