POSITION TITLE: ID&T STUDENT WORKER
CLASSIFICATION: STUDENT WORKER - PART-TIME (UP TO 29 HRS/WK) - $12.00/HR.
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR, INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY, SYSTEMS, AND SUPPORT SERVICES
POSITION SUMMARY
The ID&T Student Worker reports directly to the Director, of Instructional Technology, Systems, and
Support Services. The position provides general assistance in the day-to-day operation and
maintenance of online, blended, and face-to-face courses within the MyFIRE Learning Platform. This
position also provides customer service to students, faculty, and employees as needed, and assists with
special projects when they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
1. Computer Skills - Must have good computer skills, experience with the BrightSpace Learning
platform is helpful, but not required. Training is provided.
2. Accuracy - Must be consistent and detail-oriented.
3. Willingness - Must be flexible to take on new projects and tasks, as needed.
4. Confidentiality - Must be able to handle confidential matters and be professional.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum Education Required -a part-time or full-time Undergraduate or Graduate student.
Additionally, the student must maintain a 3.0 GPA
2. Technical - Working knowledge and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), and Google tools
3. Critical Thinking - Strong analytical skills as related to problem-solving and decision-making
4. Communication - Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills, especially written and oral
communications, customer service, and the ability to convey complex technical information to
non-technical users
5. Interpersonal Skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
