Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medsurg Psych

Location: Rochester, NY

Rate: $3600 Weekly

Shift: 48hrs - 4x12hrs - D/E/N Rotating Shift

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a specialization in Medsurg Psych to join our team in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing compassionate care to patients with both medical and psychiatric conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Medsurg Psych setting, managing and administering medications as prescribed by physicians
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health conditions to develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions, and intervene as necessary to address any emergent issues
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medsurg Psych setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
