The Cloud Engineer will be an individual contributor working on efforts that span various cloud solutioning topics.This may include cloud networking, virtualization, Linux, databases, disaster recover, and DevOps deployments.This role will contribute to the Enterprise Cloud Tool Enablement and Strategy team with helping to onboard various data consumption and business intelligence tools into Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Contributes to solutions requiring knowledge of:

Layer 2 & 3 networking fundamentals (tcp/ip, routing, subnetting, port mapping, firewalls, load balancing, protocols)

Virtualization: containers, VM’s, Kubernetes (including Helm)

Basic Linux administration (remote access, package management, services management, basic scripting)

Basic database administration (schema catalog creation, user management, replication)

Basic disaster recovery (backups, failover)

DevOps deployments

· Create help docs, how-to’s, newsletters, and wiki pages.

Required Qualifications:

2 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering role covering the responsibilities listed above.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Google Cloud Associate or Professional Certification

· Experience with Python, Terraform, Github

· Fast learner with self-driven tendency.Enjoys challenges and learning new things to overcome obstacles.

· Ability to create clear and concise solution concept diagrams which are easy to communicate and understand.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide cutting edge cloud engineering solutions for cloud

·Excellent general communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, data science, or a related field.

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
