Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Omnicell and Ekits in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

Day In The Life:

As a Lead Pharmacy Technician - Omnicell and Ekits, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy technician team by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed by the pharmacist team. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of Omnicell replenishment techs and EDK techs
• Assisting with delivering and restocking medication into Omnicell devices as well as restocking EDK's as needed
• This position involves driving a company provided vehicle to make deliveries at times
• Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance
• Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed
• Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

Required Qualifications:

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• MUST have active driver's license. This role requires driving company provided vehicle at times.
• Ability to work overtime to complete tasks as needed as well as a weekend rotation
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
• Previous technical experience
• Comfortable working with machinery and basic troubleshooting
• PC knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• PTCB National Certification

Education:

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
