Role and Responsibilities: As a vital member of the Business Solutions team, the Business Solutions Specialist serves as a technical support member for Policy Administration departments by assisting with electronic systems used in the business area. In addition, the Solutions Specialist will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of internal and external systems, workflows, and procedures. In this position, the Solutions Specialist will help identify and develop new or improved solutions while working closely with other departments, such as Applications Development, to solve and improve processes and workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

• Enhance the current processes, procedures, and communication throughout the business area.
• Serve as a liaison between the business area and other areas of the Company, including, but not limited to, other Policy Administration departments, Strategic Services, Corporate Data and Analytics, Applications Development, and Marketing.
• Review, analyze, and monitor various performance reports and communicate them to management.
• Write queries and provide reporting to extract data from business area systems for statistical and reporting purposes. Work with Corporate Data & Analytics on reporting needs impacting our Company, upper management, and field force.
• Learn to efficiently and effectively research, test, and coordinate applicable systems, procedures, and workflows.
• Develop knowledge of application systems and procedures to define, test, and document system issues and enhancement requests.
• Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance business operations.
• Provide technical support by troubleshooting errors and creating, testing, and approving enhancement requests for systems impacting our business area.
• Groom and prioritize user stories and enhancement requests for our Applications Development department. Work closely with Application Development on business analysis needs and business area system prioritization

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degrees (preferably in Business, BIS, MIS or related) or combination of education and experience
• Preferred knowledge of the following; however, training will be provided to become proficient in the following: Business Analysis techniques, Policy Administration databases, Reporting services, and Query Management tools
• Critical thinking and the ability to analyze complex situations and provide creative solutions
• Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and by finding creative ways to addresses challenges
• Ability to work well under pressure, multitask when needed
• Must be dependable, well-organized, and an effective time manager
• Thorough knowledge SFB Products, Policy Services procedures and Operations preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills.
• Ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through one's integrity, courage to act and communication skills.
