SGC Power is Hiring a Sr. Associate, Sales Operations Near Denver, CO

Role OverviewPivot Energy is seeking a motivated individual to join our business development team to support our expanding sales efforts with corporate clients. Sitting between our Corporate Clean Energy Solutions Sales team and the Finance, Legal, and Operations teams, this role will help to ensure our growing pipeline of opportunities move efficiently through the sales and development process.
The Sales Operations Senior Associate will collaborate across departments to support origination, lead qualification, proposal creation, opportunity tracking, contracting, development, and project delivery across our pipeline of opportunities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and able to gather and apply a range of market, policy, regulatory, technical and financial information. In addition, strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills are paramount for the success of this role. This position offers a unique growth opportunity within renewable project sales and operations at a cutting-edge B Corporation with operations across the USA.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Qualify incoming leads and support outbound sales and marketing efforts targeting corporate clients
  • Assist with utility bill analysis and financial/cash flow modeling
  • Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and assist in preparing client proposals by collecting and organizing technical and financial project information
  • Ensure accurate recording of client information, opportunity status, and project tasks across departments in our CRM system
  • Assist with contract and lease negotiations and required amendments
  • Work with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to determine discretionary permitting requirements for solar projects and help track incentive requirements
  • Coordinate internally across sales, legal, finance, and operations departments to efficiently move sales opportunities through the sales and development process
  • Manage third-party consultants and contractors to complete required diligence items related to a portfolio of projects
  • Complete title curative items for project finance requirements, in collaboration with the legal team
  • Support sales forecasting, reporting, and contract management
Required Competencies
  • Minimum 3 years experience in sales operations, project management, or a similar role
  • Knowledge of solar offerings for corporate clients
  • Detail and process-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and on-time execution
  • Great organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience working with contracts and CRMs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building trust and rapport
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, critical deadlines
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite, specifically Excel, Word
Preferred Competencies
  • Prior experience in the solar, sustainability or built environment industry is a plus
