*This is a one year contract position*
This position is responsible for supporting the team’s creative development, following the adherence to brand consistency, including following art direction on print, digital, and display campaigns. This position must possess functional knowledge of and experience with design software and graphics editing software i.e., Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. (a familiarity with HTML or CSS code is preferred). Key responsibilities include creating designs according to specifications, reporting to the senior graphic designer, and improving design tasks.. This role must be dependable and work well in timeline-driven projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design, layout, and coordination of marketing collateral materials, such as: graphic assets (logos and product photos), promotional flyers, printed and electronic advertisements, banners, tradeshow graphics, catalogs, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
• Responsible for selecting imagery used for monthly promotional pieces ensuring the content is relevant to the local market and sharing the imagery with outside agency in a timely manner.
• Gathers information and materials needed from designated individuals to accomplish tasks.
• Becomes familiar with brand guidelines, images, components, and overall brand identity.
• Works within existing brand guidelines and designs to version out print collateral, image-based e-mails, and digital assets for our website and social media channels.
• Proofreads to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
• Conceptualizes assignments by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts as per specified media requirements. Adjusts designs and copy according to direction provided by stakeholders.
• Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and staying up to date on marketing and design trends, etc.
• Has the ability to learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.
• Willing to support the rest of the e-commerce team on ad-hoc requests as updating content within AEM and working in Promo Dashboard to update promotions across the international market sites.
• Works well as part of a collaborative team, and directly with E-commerce Manager, Lead, and outside agencies (when necessary)
Required Skills
• Accuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are essential.
• Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that showcase the work the team has done in a concise and visual manner.
• Software: Proven experience in Mac and Windows applications including InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is required. Knowledge with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Video Editing is a plus. Portfolio of work samples required.
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the cruise industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of International business is a plus
