Shaffer Entertainment is hiring for an entry level Service Technician who will split time between the warehouse and customer locations. You will help deliver and install various amusement and entertainment equipment at our customer locations. This position involves loading and unloading the trucks, prepping and moving equipment in and out of customer locations and drive the truck. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and willing to learn. When there are no scheduled deliveries, you will be training to service and repair the equipment as well as collection of coin-operated equipment. We are a family-owned business who specializes in supplying, developing and promoting on-location entertainment products and innovations, such as vending machines, arcade games, pool tables, dart boards, jukeboxes and cranes.

Responsibilities:

• Work hours are generally M-F 8:30am-4:30pm with weekend on-call rotation once per month (Once every 5 weeks)
• Deliver and install arcade games, pool tables, dart boards, and other amusement-related equipment at Shaffer customers located within approximately a 75-mile radius of Detroit.
• Install TVs, monitors, juke boxes, A/V and sound systems.
• Set up WIFI, cabling, and networks.
• Troubleshooting and repairing of games, pool tables, dart boards, vending machines and various other amusement related equipment (once trained)

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be at least 21 years old (some of our customers have age restricted entry)
• Able to use hand tools and work handcart, dolly, pallet jack, etc.
• Previous delivery/install experience desired
• Mechanical knowledge/technical background desired
• Willing to work inside Bars/Taverns
• Successful candidate must be organized, motivated and have a do-whatever-it-takes attitude.
• Excellent customer interaction skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
• Candidate must be able to meet all DOT requirements including medical card, and the ability to pass a background check including criminal and driving histories.
