Pay Rate - $22.00 an hour (increases based on experience)

Typical Retail/Store Hours:

  • Monday - Wednesday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Thursday & Friday: 10:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Sunday: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • Employees OPEN & CLOSE 1 hour beyond hours of operation
  • Employees REQUIRED to have WEEKEND & some EVENING Availability

Overview

As a member of the Shane Co. store team, your role as a Jewelry Consultant is to develop strong customer relationships while maximizing sales performance as a jewelry expert. You will help provide exceptional store experiences for each and every customer while developing your skills as a salesperson and teammate.

Responsibilities

As a member of a high-performing team, you will be providing excellent service and helping team members do the same. Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Providing sales presentations based on the features and benefits of our products, closing sales, and clienteling with existing customers.
  • Cultivating an in-depth knowledge of our products to provide the best experience possible for our customers.
  • Maximizing sales utilizing Floor Direction, peer-to-peer coaching, and teamwork.
  • Assisting with maintaining an accurate inventory of all merchandise and ensuring merchandise security.
  • Participating in and exemplifying our company culture.
  • Partnering with the Store Visual Merchandiser to understand and help uphold all merchandising standards including case presentation and storying telling.
  • Performing duties related to the opening or closing the store.

We will provide you with the training you need to be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our merchandise, represent our brand, and create an exceptional store experience for each and every customer. Our goal for our customers is to ensure each one receives the highest level of service; the experience YOU create is the reason for their return.

Qualifications

  • Must have weekend and evening availability.
  • A minimum of 1 year of sales or other customer-facing experience is required.
  • Genuine enjoyment in working with people.
  • Retail sales or hospitality industry experience is preferred with the ability to present features and benefits of unique products. Prior experience with jewelry sales is not required... we will teach you!
  • High-performing and driven to achieve goals.
  • Great listener… we need you to listen to each customer’s needs.
  • Ability to maintain customer relationships in a changing sales environment.
  • Energetic team player.

Work Environment

The primary environment for this role is an open retail environment. Considerable business is conducted with customers in person. This role may also speak with customers over the phone or via email. This role involves standing and moving objects and involves interacting with coworkers consistently. This role is not a remote role.
