Position information:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) Companion to join our team at Shangri La. As a DSP Companion, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. DSP's interact directly with clients, and this position is an attractive option for people who are interested in healthcare as a career. Regular and reliable attendance is imperative to ensure we provide remarkable services to the people we support. The work schedule is mostly stable with very little fluctuation without prior notice. Occasional changes are based on the needs of the people supported as well as the program. This position requires the employee to be onsite for 56 hours, living with the people supported for 2 ½ days. Approximately 16 hours are paid, awake hours, daily. Depending on shift, some sleep time is paid, some is unpaid. The employee is expected to sleep during typical sleep hours.
