Shanti Kids is a preschool - elementary school located in Florida, USA, dedicated to providing fun, and appropiate clases where all children can learn not only through play and exploration, but also through an academic program that matches their individual learning abilities.

By observing each child's strengths and interests, our teachers create activities that allow children to explore the world, make discoveries, and develop their cognitive, physical, mental, emotional, and social skills using new technologies and digital resources.

Purpose: We are hiring an elementary or early childhood teacher to teach grades K-5 in language arts, math, science, and social studies in English, beginning August 2024.

Description of Duties:

· Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

· Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities

· Create a positive educational climate in which students can learn.

· Meet course and school-wide student achievement goals.

· Create and modify lesson plans throughout the year.

· Record grades based on student progress.

· Read and keep up with current issues in education.

· Create lesson plans based on the private school's core curriculum.

· Utilize various digital and platform resources.

· Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

· Utilize curriculum that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

· Collaborate with the Principal and Academic Director to ensure initiatives are met.

· Tutor students on an individual basis.

· Prepare and distribute required reports.

· Observe and evaluate student performance.

· Manage student behavior in the classroom using approved disciplinary procedures.

· Other as needed

Job Requirements:

• Full time availability (8:30 am to 4:00 pm M-F)

Education and Experience

· A bachelor's degree in early childhood or elementary education with 2 years of teaching experience in a full-time preschool or elementary program.

· Elementary Education K-6 Certificate

· Knowledge of and willingness to use interactive online platforms

· Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

· Certified English proficiency 

· High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Licenses & Certifications: Pediatric First Aid/CPR

Personal Qualities

Must be physically able to perform the work of an early childhood teacher, have a warm and supportive attitude toward children, be dependable, flexible in accepting assignments or adapting to changes in the program. Must be willing to accept supervision to improve job performance.
