The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. The Senior Buyer will work closely with various departments to meet their purchasing needs and support the company’s operational objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and favorable terms.
• Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals for the company.
• Purchase Orders: Review and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers.
• Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess stock.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including production, logistics, finance, and quality control, to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
• All other responsibilities as needed

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, and vendor management
• Proficient in using procurement software/systems (e.g., Oracle EBS)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
