The Manager, Digital Fundraising will help to implement strategic online engagement and fundraising plans–with a strong focus on email—to most effectively acquire, convert and retain constituents through digital channels. Working collaboratively across the Individual Giving team and the Marketing team, the Manager ensures campaigns are integrated across all digital channels and optimized to engage and convert email, website and paid ad audiences to financial supporters. The Manager will work collaboratively to make sure that digital channels are integrated with offline strategies and to ensure a seamless donor journey from acquisition through multi-year engagement.

Core responsibilities include reviewing campaign strategies, managing internal creative reviews, building positive cross-team and agency partnerships and monitoring campaign performance. The role requires strong project management, communication, creativity, data analysis, and budgeting skills to manage campaigns efficiently, accurately, and with a focus on meeting goals and improving the donor experience throughout.

This position is preferably based in Washington, DC, but could be fully remote for the right candidate. The position offers a salary range of $70K-$77K. Exact compensation within the stated salary range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and geographical location.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Associate Director, Digital Fundraising to develop annual fundraising plans to acquire, reinstate, retain, engage and cultivate donors through online direct response channels including email, website and paid ad investments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sustainer Program team to ensure digital channels are integrated with offline strategies and to ensure a seamless donor journey from acquisition through multi-year engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader Individual Giving team and the Marketing team to ensure campaigns are integrated across all channels and optimized to engage and convert email, website and paid ad audiences to financial supporters.
  • Project manage email, web and paid ad fundraising and cultivation campaigns while achieving overall acquisition goals, meeting deadlines, improving the donor experience, and growing revenue.
  • Oversee the creative process for email and ad campaigns from copywriting and design to internal review.
  • Contribute to the development of creative for the homepage and website content that promotes giving and deepens engagement with No Kid Hungry’s work.
  • Assist in landing and web page optimization and online testing plans, evaluate results, and recommend strategic adjustments to improve performance and increase revenue.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the related acquisition channels (telemarketing, mobile, F2F and DRTV) and their unique metrics, tactics, strategies, and best practices.
  • Serve as day-to-day liaison to program consultants and implement strategy in line with program goals.
  • Strive to innovate; research and make recommendations on new fundraising technologies and techniques to increase online giving.
  • Partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work to be a diverse and inclusive organization, and ensuring this value is embedded in the organization and throughout our work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:
• This position has supervisory responsibilities for the digital fundraising associate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, but not required. 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in direct response fundraising.
  • Solid understanding of digital tools, processes and techniques for fundraising, donor development, advocacy campaigns, list building and social networks.
  • Solid understanding of best practices for website optimization, A/B and multivariate testing, search engine marketing and social media advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization and work successfully with them.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, project management, and organizational skills required. An ability to manage multifaceted projects and a capacity to perform well independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are essential.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Experience with Luminate and Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT experience preferred.
