We are currently seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to join our mobile team in our Columbus region. This position offers a unique variety of duties and travel to multiple medical facilities. Anticipated Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Potential for sporadic weekend shifts if needed
Territory would be up to 50 miles from Columbus
Weekly guarantee of hours
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to the Regional Operations Manager with administrative and tech duties including but not limited to protocols, ACR/QC, PM's and training new technologists
Converse with customers and assist team with any issues that may arise
May need to cover an occasional call-off or fill-in schedule
You will competently perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with accepted standards of practice, including administering contrast agents (under the guidance and approval of the site Radiologist)
You will review and complete patient screening forms and properly explain the procedure to the patient
Qualifications:
ARRT (R) registered
ARRT (MR) registered preferred
You will need to produce quality special imaging with limited supervision, and you must be able to interact in a responsible, professional and ethical manner

Maintains strong technical knowledge of the MRI equipment, basic troubleshooting and when/how to call OEM for service. Includes managing the down system event with the assistance of the Regional Operations Manager. 2 . Maintains a strong working knowledge of the entire mobile unit interior/exterior and truck. Knows how and when to call vendors for service once directed to by Regional Operations Manager. Includes being resourceful in solving problems efficiently and maintaining equipment uptime. 3 . Assists Regional Operations Manager and client with maintaining IT network between all units and peripheral devices. 4 . Manages all ACR accreditations and re-accreditations for each unit if directed by Regional Operations Manager. This includes image selection, compiling QC records and reviewing all completed packets with the lead interpreting physician and physicist for approval prior to submission. 5 . Completes monthly on-site audits of all QC documents for each unit. 6 . Performs monthly random image audit on each unit to ensure image quality; including any follow up with lead interpreting physician on any image quality concerns. 7 . Schedules annual physics surveys for each system in a timely manner. File and update physics reports on each unit and SMS corporate office. 8 . Assists the Regional Operations Manager with handling client feedback, regulatory updates, TJC compliance, Team Member performance, and other operational requirements as needed. Includes meeting with Regional Operations Manager monthly to review each unit. 9 . Completes Monthly Observation Form required by TJC. Review with Regional Operations Manager. 10 . Establishes relationships with the client to openly share performance feedback. 11 . Ensures the highest level of quality and customer service by working with the Team Members to develop technical competency and customer service skills, as directed by the Regional Operations Manager. 12 . May assist the Regional Operations Manager with some aspects of Team Member management, including but not limited to, Team Member selection, performance evaluation feedback, and coaching. 13 . Trains new Team Members as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor and/or SMS management. 14 . Travel and overnights may be required. T e c hno l o g i st Duties and Responsibilities 17 . Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician. 18 . Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility and during the exam. 19 . Maintains competency to administer proper IV injections of contrast material /radioactive material as directed by modality. 20 . Works with each sites Management and/or Radiologist to keep protocols up to date in the MRI scanners as well as MRI Protocol book. 21 . Under guidance and approval of site Authorized User, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols. 22 . Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient. 23 . Transports patients to and from the mobile coach/facility. 24 . Provides images to the facility in the desired site format. 25 . Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems; places service calls and notifies all pertinent Team Members of issues. 26 . Assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers’ guidelines. 27 . Follow preventative maintenance guidelines to ensure proper maintenance of all equipment. Works with vendors and SMS staff, as appropriate, to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures. 28 . Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility. 29 . Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. billing, QA, etc). 30 . Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. 31 . Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures. 32 . Complies with all safety policies and regulations including MRI safety. 33 . Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed, if required. 34 . Trains new Team Members as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor and/or SMS management.
