The position of an Outside Sales Representative is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative This position would be one of the first points of contact for existing and new customers of Valley Wide Cooperative. The sales representative would be a motivated self-starter without immediate supervision. Accountability and reporting would take place on a regular scheduled basis.

Job Summary:

These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.

1. Be able to meet new customers, cold call, and present Co-ops product lines.
2. Be knowledgeable of products functions and uses.
3. Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers. 
4. Collaborate with management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence. 
5. Present and exhibit a professional look and demeanor at all times.
6. Work as a team player to expedite deliveries and customer service.
7. Enforce and Adhere to the company credit policy. 
8. Adhere to sales restrictions on company products sold. 
9. Responsible for inventory control. 
10. Be able to communicate with proper telephone etiquette and working knowledge of email.
11. Work with vendors as product needs require.
12. Responsible for care and maintenance of company vehicle. 
13. Perform other duties as assigned. 

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field experience. 
2. 4 years outside sales experience.
3. Must be willing to travel. 
4. Strong computer skills and understanding. 
5. Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction. 
6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. 
7. Valid driver’s license.
