Must have active and valid PA certification in Guidance Counselor PreK-12
Available: 2024-2025 School Year
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the school site Principal, provide behavioral and educational counseling to individuals and small groups of students, including classroom presentations; assist students in understanding and seeking solutions to social, emotional, or academic problems and issues; serve as a resource pertaining to student behavior management strategies, and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; and other related functions as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing guidance and support to students with academic, social, emotional, or behavioral issues
- Conducting assessments to evaluate students' abilities and needs
- Assisting students with career planning and goal setting
- Developing and delivering school counseling programs that improve student outcomes and promote equity and access
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to address the needs of students and the school community
