Dance Instructor
Duties:
- Teach dance classes to students ages 2and up
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the dance studio
- Provide instruction in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop acro & lyrical
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and recitals
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of dance instruction
Experience:
- Previous experience teaching dance to children or working with students in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and how they relate to dance instruction
- Strong classroom management skills, including the ability to engage and motivate students
- Ability to create age-appropriate lesson plans that are both fun and educational
- Familiarity with various dance styles and techniques, as well as the ability to adapt instruction based on student needs
