Job Description
Our Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airport, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This role involves strategic planning and coordination across various departments, including security, maintenance, customer service, and logistics. You will be tasked with ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations and standards, while also working to enhance operational procedures and policies. A key aspect of the role is to lead and develop a large team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Additionally, you must effectively manage budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships, including communication with airlines, government agencies, and service partners.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A SR OPERATIONS MANAGER

• Lead the management of daily activities across all operational departments, ensuring smooth and efficient airport operations
• Formulate and establish operational policies and procedures, and oversee their implementation to enhance overall efficiency and service quality
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination between various departments such as ground handling, customer service, and security to ensure integrated service delivery
• Regularly assess operational processes and outcomes, employing strategies to drive continuous improvement and address inefficiencies
• Manage the operational budget, including the development of financial plans, allocation of resources, and cost optimization strategies
• You have a great attention to detail
• You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
• Strong customer service skills
• Like to build long term relationships with your customers
• Physical activity may include:
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
• Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in airport or aviation operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Extensive knowledge of airport operations, regulations, and safety standards
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in operational planning and budget management
• Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
