Position SummaryAs a pivotal member of the US legal team, the Director of Trade Compliance (official title: Director I, Trade Compliance) will spearhead U.S. import compliance endeavors, ensuring adherence to all customs laws and regulations. Collaborating seamlessly with senior functional leaders and the global Supply Chain Center, you’ll play a crucial role in our success story by monitoring trade operations, compliance, and performance. This role reports to the General Counsel of Americas and offers a unique opportunity to lead and drive impactful initiatives while fostering collaborative partnerships both internally and externally.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the U.S. import compliance team as a member of the US legal team.
  • Work cooperatively with senior functional leaders to ensure compliance with all relevant U.S. customs laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the global Supply Chain Center to develop and deliver enterprise-wide data and metrics to monitor trade operations, compliance, and performance.
  • Define, implement, and conduct compliance audits and ensure corrective action processes are in place to comply with U.S. laws and regulations.
  • Host and facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews with internal and external stakeholders to communicate on processes and operations and represent data/metrics information and project review.
Job Requirement
  • 12 years of trade compliance experience preferably in multinational corporations or organizations (including experience building and leading a team).
  • Experience with high volume of de minimis importations is preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of trade regulations, including HTS classification, valuation, country of origin, marking and recordkeeping, and UFLPA compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently gather information, issue-spot, and problem-solve in a professional, creative and ethical manner.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Knowledge of trade regulations in Canada and Latin America is a plus.
  • Licensed broker in US preferred.
Pay $134,000.00 min. - $236,500.00 max annually. Bonus & RSU offered.
