Shelburne Museum is Hiring a Development Associate Near Shelburne, VT

Purpose:

To further the mission of Shelburne Museum by assisting with fundraising events and development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist the Development Office with administrative operations including gift processing, membership services, and mailings.

· Provide support services for special events including donor receptions, exhibitions, concerts, and trustee receptions.

· Provide event logistics support including pre-event invitations, event RSVP, day-of event set up and implementation

· Manage participant and donor data in Raiser’s Edge software program.

· Assist department staff in stewardship programs for special guests and high-level members.

· Attend and participate in event related activities and meetings.

General Requirements:

· Self-motivated, team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Keen attention to details, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent oral and written communications skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

· Possess a valid driver’s license as well as the ability to travel as needed to perform duties.

· Demonstrated experience in an office or events management setting, desirable.

· Possess a B.A. or equivalent life experience

· Interest in nonprofit management, fundraising, event planning, business administration, operations management and project management.

Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and/or work on a computer for long periods of time; walk up and down stairs multiple times throughout the day and lift at least 25 pounds. to apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
