200 Day Position Grade 23; 8 hours daily Work Status: Non-Exempt QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: two years college-level course work in computer technology preferred, computer information science or related field or two (2) years of technology experience. REPORTS TO: District Technology Coordinator JOB GOAL: Assist with the operation of computer maintenance for the district; research and remain current on computer-related responsibilities. Perform a variety of skilled and technical duties related to the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of computers, printers and other peripheral equipment.
Provide on-site support for users of computer hardware and software.
Install computer hardware systems and software including upgrades and enhancements.
Conduct training for use of computer hardware and software with individuals, small groups.
Conduct problem-solving research.
Test new software programs and update existing programs prior to installation.
Maintain password security for authorized access to computer and local area networks.
Assist with the operation of computer maintenance for the District; research and remain current on computer technology; assist with the installation and maintenance of computers and Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Maintain and prepare special reports as assigned.
Perform related duties as assigned.
