PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide supervision to speech therapy assistants; assess, analyze, and develop reports regarding the speech disability condition; maintain apprpriate records and files; evaluate effectiveness of speech-language program; conduct necessary screenings; provid therapy to identified students as required; educate and consult with parents and teachers regarding speech disabilities in special education students
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology form accredited university or college
* Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
* Licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas
Special Knowledge/Skills:
* Ability to observe, assess and record progress of students with speech impairments
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong consultaion skills for conferencing with teacher, parents and others
* Ability to supervise and train speech-language assistants
* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in speaking and writing Spanish
Experience:
* Relevent experience in public schools, minimum of 2 years preferred
* Supervisory experience preferred
Works a 195 day calendar
Salary $4,500.00 Stipend
