Shelton Valley Christian Child Development Center is Hiring a Child Care Teacher Near Shelton, WA
The Lead Teacher/Childcare Provider is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures. The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program to teach young children. They must ensure the development and safety of the children in accordance with federal, territorial and municipal legislation and policies. The teacher is to be respectful of children and parents, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.
Classroom Expectations:
Develop and/or implement a developmentally appropriate program for young children by:
- Planning and implementing activities to meet physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program
- Utilize adequate equipment
- Ensure equipment and the classroom are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
- Ensure that all opening/closing and cleaning procedures are followed with no exceptions!
- Provide monthly schedules of activities (Curriculum) to admin staff and parents in a timely manner
- Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
- Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts
- Establish classroom boundaries/expectations for children enrolled in your classroom
- Be familiar with and follow emergency policies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
