Job Title: Houseman

Location: Shenandoah Country Club

Overview:
Shenandoah Country Club is currently seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Houseman. The primary responsibilities include setting up and breaking down banquets and rooms, performing light maintenance tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness of facilities before, during, and after events. The ideal candidate should be reliable, able to handle some heavy lifting, and have weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

• Event Setup and Breakdown:
• Efficiently set up and break down banquet and event spaces according to specifications provided by the events team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and organized event logistics.
• Light Maintenance:
• Perform light maintenance tasks to address immediate needs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor equipment issues, and reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Housekeeping:
• Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities before, during, and after events.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring restrooms are well-stocked and tidy.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects.
• Able to stand for long periods during event setup and breakdown.
• Schedule:
• Weekend availability is a requirement for this position.
• The schedule may include evenings, holidays, and additional hours based on the club's event calendar.
• Transportation:
• Reliable transportation is required for commuting to and from the club.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
