OTR Hot Shot Flatbed Position

A little bit of history about our company, Shepard Trucking is opening Shepard Freight originated in Milwaukee, WI. We haul a wide variety of loads all throughout the United States coast to coast. We have a team of agents/dispatchers working at always getting us the best possible loads. We understand that drivers are the backbone & foundation in this industry, so when you join this team you are not considered just another company driver but more so like family.

**Hotshot Truck Driver**

Duties:

Safely operate a 40ft gooseneck flatbed trailer. Able to use chains & binders, straps, tarps, etc.
Transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
Comfortable driving over-dimensional size loads.
Willing to be out on the road for a minimum of at least 3 weeks a month. If drivers choose to stay out longer than we do offer bonus incentives.
Bonus incentives are given for tarping, over-dimensional size loads, and working overtime.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules.

Skills:

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to reach destinations efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatchers and team members.
Must have at least 2 years of verifiable OTR experience and 1 year of flatbed experience.
Clean MVR & Background Check is a must!
