Supports assigned sales staff in pre-order and post-order activity. Ensures proper internal order-
processing procedures are followed.
- Assist in the preparation of Client Quotes, RFP’s, and Bids; verify and review pricing and product specifications from CAP and CET for accuracy and completeness.
- Request special quotes, discounting, and freight from vendors.
- Communicate with Steelcase and non-Steelcase manufacturers to determine product reservations and shipment dates.
- Lead the order process from client approvals, including submission of vendor purchase orders, verification of product acknowledgements, tracking of vendor shipment dates through to the receipt of product.
- Serve as the primary client contact for standard quotes and orders.
- Coordinate and lead weekly status meetings with Workplace Consultants and Project Managers to discuss action items related to the project/order status.
- Maintain and update core client documentation, to include product standards, best practices, and contact information.
- Utilization and comprehensive understanding of Hedberg system, processing codes, and line sales codes.
- Provide back-up support to team members as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Two years of related experience in customer service, order fulfillment/processing, sales support, purchasing, or accounting.
- Intermediate-level computer skills including a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Effective organizational skills and multitasking.
- Ability to perform in a proactive manner with little direct supervision while still working within a team.
- Strong proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
