Job SummaryLearn to interpret the information on the work order and its contents.
Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team.
Feed books/signatures into machine.
Pack books into cartons.
Safely move materials/books to and from workstation.
Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies and job changeovers.
Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved.
Be sure all waste is disposed of properly.
Perform preventative maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment.
Basic QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
Basic problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts required.
Prompt and reliable attendance required.
Desired Skills And AbilitiesOne (1) year manufacturing experience.
Ability To Work With The Following Tools Or MachineryPallet mover
Retractable knife
Pallet wrap holder
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and the physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals
Ability to stand for 8 hours
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
Willing to work all shifts
Hearing protection required
Safety toe shoes required
Training provided
Hours: 3rd shift – Monday to Friday 11 PM – 7 AM
Shift Differential of $1.00/hour
