Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate accurate and efficient processing of all invoices
- Ensure timely input of all invoices
- Process and generate check, ACH, Wire and credit card payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with 1099 tax reporting and escheatment processes
- Prepare analysis and reports summarizing AP staff invoice entry and work-related functions
- Train AP staff on processes, controls and related efficiencies
- Assist in projects as assigned by department management to maintain data integrity
- Identify and report to the AP Manager any existing or potential issues, whether internal or external
- Work with the AP Manager on special projects requiring detailed activity analysis
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role
- Proficient in using accounting software – Oracle preferred
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to take ownership of and lead assigned projects from beginning to close as well as work in a team setting
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good problem-solving, judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional written and verbal skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Preferred – 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
