Compensation: To $35/hr. Job Overview – Staff Accountant – 32993
About Our Process
- Perform complex validations prior to processing of asset requests
- Analyze asset purchase requests and determine correct setup
- Answer customer questions regarding leases, assets, invoices & journal entries
- Validate complex violation requests & prepare/post journal entries
- Provide training to internal customers on asset requests
- Ensure accounting conforms to policies & maintain internal controls
- Review/validate client contracts for compliance
- Provide month-end support & record/post journal entries
- Lead asset physical inventories & act as a liaison between departments
- Prepare monthly analysis & account reconciliations
- Perform other accounting tasks & assist with ad hoc projects
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Business w/ Accounting concentration OR Associates Degree in Accounting with 5-10 years of related experience
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Solid excel experience
- GAAP and IFRS experience is a plus
- Asset accounting experience is a plus
- SAP experience is a plus
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible
- Medical plan offered is BCBSNC Blue Options PPO
- Premiums will be pre-taxed
- Sherpa pays a portion of the Employee only premium for medical
- 90 day waiting period from date of hire
- Medical, Dental, and Vision plans
