ORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:(

1) Wellness Center Daily Operations and Member Services:M

  • ust be available to work hours between 5:30 am – 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, with closing shift at least three times per week.S
  • erve as a resource for members regarding exercise prescription.C
  • onduct member fitness assessments including aerobic capacity tests, body composition, circumference measurements, blood pressure, strength, endurance and flexibility testing.G
  • eneral fitness floor supervision.H
  • andle daily operations including opening and closing the center as required, laundry, answering phones, cleaning equipment, and other tasks as assigned.(

2) Group Exercise Instruction:P

  • lan and teach daily group exercise classes paying attention to current trends to meet members' needs.L
  • earn and implement the process for instructing virtual group exercise classes.(

3) Incentive Programming/Education:C

  • ollaborate with Wellness Team to design, implement and evaluate wellness/fitness related programs.P
  • rovide monthly bulletin board and educational handouts on various health and wellness topics.S
  • upport Sherwin-Williams well-being initiative and other related programs.A
  • ssist with and/or lead special interest groups such as volleyball leagues, running groups, etc.

ORMAL EDUCATION:R

equired:B

  • achelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion or related field or Bachelor’s degree in another field with 1-3 years’ experience in the Fitness Industry with additional fitness certifications.K

NOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:R

equired:C

  • PR/AED CertifiedG
  • roup Exercise and/or Personal Training Certification or related degree.P
  • revious experience leading group exercise classes of varying formats.P
  • revious experience designing personal exercise programs and working one on one with clients of all fitness levels.E
  • xperience with taking blood pressure.E
  • xperience using Microsoft Office.P
