Position Description : Position Summary :

Our client, a reputable distribution company, is seeking a CDL A Local Route Delivery Hazmat Truck Driver for their team in Madison, AL.

This temporary position is expected to last 6 weeks, with the potential for extension. The role involves working Monday to Friday, 40-50 hours a week, utilizing an electric pallet jack.

Key Responsibilities :

• Efficient Deliveries :
• Complete deliveries using the most effective routes.
• Load and unload vehicles using a lift gate and electric pallet jack, ensuring secure transport of products.
• Operate a tractor-trailer with a 48 trailer.
• Average 8 to 14 stops a day depending on the route day.
• Collect payments and document deliveries accurately.
• Compliance and Maintenance :
• Maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSR regulations.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any maintenance needs.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable.
• Customer Service and Improvement :
• Continuously improve product knowledge and job skills.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications :

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid commercial driver's license, HAZMAT endorsement preferred.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record report.
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads up to 100 pounds.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus.
• Experience with Moffett, Skelly, or Air Brake is advantageous.
