Position: Praise and Worship Leader

Part Time: $600 month

Services needed: 1st and 4th Sunday’s 8am and 10:45am services

Location: Shiloh Baptist Church, Tacoma, WA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Praise and Worship Leader to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will have a heart for worship, strong musical skills, and the ability to lead and inspire our congregation in worship. This role involves planning and leading worship services, developing worship teams, and fostering a culture of worship within our church community.

Key Responsibilities:

• · Lead and oversee the musical aspects of praise and worship services, including specific Sunday services, special events, and rehearsals.
• · Collaborate with the minister of music to plan and execute worship services that align with the church’s vision and themes.
• · Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members.
• · Select and arrange music that reflects a diverse range of worship styles, ensuring inclusivity and congregational engagement.
• · Foster an atmosphere of worship that encourages spiritual growth and deepens the congregation’s connection with God.
• · Stay current with contemporary worship music trends and integrate new songs and styles as appropriate.
• · Manage and maintain worship-related equipment and technology.

Qualifications:

• · A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for worship.
• · Proven experience in leading worship in a church setting.
• · Proficient in playing at least one musical instrument, with strong vocal abilities.
• · Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• · Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to various worship styles.
• · Familiarity with worship technology, including sound systems, projection, and music software.
• · A heart for mentoring and developing others in their worship gifts.
